Pelt & Hooykaas produces sustainable secondary building materials for road and hydraulic engineering, among other things. These building materials are produced from residual materials from other production processes which are therefore reused in a high-quality manner. In this way Pelt & Hooykaas is able to contribute in an extremely sustainable and environmentally friendly way to making road and hydraulic engineering more circular.
The plant supplied by IMPAKT consists of 4 electrically driven components: A 15 m3 VML 15 feed hopper, an SH1202 pre-screener, a VSI crusher and an SH1203 post-screener. In conceiving this installation, it was the crushing process in particular that required attention. In cooperation with Maskin Mekano and Scandinavian Cushing Partners, a VSI (Vertical Shaf Impactor) was opted for because this type of crusher has relatively low wear costs per ton of material produced and downtime for maintenance is limited. During a test run, it quickly became clear that the VSI did what we expected of it. Regarding the screening of the different fractions, dry as well as wet, it was already clear at a very early stage that the performance of Maskin Mekano's SH 1202 screening plant was of a completely different level than we were used to.
Wondering what's so special about Maskin Mekano? Let us know, over a cup of coffee we would be happy to explain.
