Indestructible materials, such as steel and iron, usually do not mix well with traditional crushers. While an operator may occasionally get lucky, such combinations are far more likely to result in damage, significant repair costs and prolonged downtime, sometimes as long as several days. Neuson's ST01 BB jaw crusher, however, offers a solution thanks to its innovative hydraulic overload protection. This allows the crusher to deal effectively with indestructible material, making it economically viable to recycle "problem material" such as various types of slag, concrete containing iron and steel, railroad ballast and even hard rock. This prevents damage, repairs and, consequently, downtime. Indestructible material can effortlessly pass through the crushing chamber without interrupting the process, thanks to the patented overload protection that is automatically controlled, without the need for operator intervention. This makes breaking steel slag a breeze!
Neuson Hydrotec leads in mechanical engineering, mechatronics and hydraulics, where they develop innovative solutions with clients. Utilizing advanced technologies, they create plant and machinery that excel in excellence and profitability, keeping them ahead of the market.

On conventional hydraulic release systems, 100% of the force is sent to the release cylinders. This system was originally designed for construction and demolition waste recycling, to protect the tilt plate from breaking as uncrushed material passes the crushing chamber. With the Neuson Steel Crusher, the main force is transferred to the pulverizer, with only a portion of the force going to the hydraulic cylinders. This allows it to release much faster than conventional jaws, and it also allows for the permanent feeding of unrushable material.
